Thank you for visiting the St Mary MacKillop Catholic Primary School website.

It is my privilege to extend you a warm welcome to St Mary MacKillop Catholic Primary School, Bannockburn. We hope that all who are associated with this school find it to be a faith-filled environment where Gospel values are lived.

At St Mary MacKillop we strive to engage all children in learning and all families into our community. We have a dedicated staff who with many years of experience are able to offer:

  • A welcoming, friendly atmosphere
  • A Gospel based approach to all that we do
  • Learning Communities based around a personalised learning environment
  • A caring and happy school, where the wellbeing of all children is paramount and all children
  • are treated with respect
  • The chance for children to perform to the best of their ability

As a Catholic School, we value our rich religious traditions and culture. We provide opportunities for our children and their families to celebrate our Catholic heritage, in many different sacramental and non-sacramental ways.

At St Mary MacKillop we value parents as an integral part of the child’s education and therefore are keen to build partnerships with all of our families.

As a community we try to live out our values of Respect, Compassion, Inclusivity and Courage.  We reflect on the life of St Mary MacKillop and try to emulate her life in our dealings with each other.

We recognise that parents are the child’s first teacher and it is our aim to work in partnership with parents in the continuing education of the children.  Together we can make a huge difference if we are on the same page.  There are many opportunities for us to work in these partnerships and strengthen the bonds of communication through the various learning experiences that happen here at school.

As a school community, we look forward to joining with our current and future families in the educational journey of our children. We value community input and look forward to an open and honest dialogue.
