Communication is the cornerstone of good relationships and at St Mary MacKillop we endeavour to keep our community informed about what is happening in the school, classroom and with individual children.
UEducateUs is the main platform that St Mary MacKillop CPS uses to communicate with Parents. Parents download a mobile App to their device to access all Announcements the school sends out as well as Permission Slips for excursions, fortnightly Newsletters and Student Reports. Parents are asked to have notifications turned on and check the platform regularly for important announcements from administration or Year Level Team Leaders.
Seesaw is a platform for student and family engagement that our Teachers use to empower our children to “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. This can then be shared with families so parents can see how their child is progressing and what they are doing in class. Teachers can also use Seesaw to communicate directly with each parent in their class.
School Newsletter
The school also produces a Newsletter every fortnight on a Friday. The Newsletter holds a vast amount of information about the school, reports of recent events and what is happening in the coming weeks. The newsletter is in a digital format and contains photo galleries and videos of school events and children’s work. Our newsletter is only shared with our families via the uEducateUs App.
