St Mary MacKillop Catholic Primary School has been a proud part of the Bannockburn community since it opened its doors in 2018, located on the former site of Bannockburn Primary School. Now entering its ninth year of operation in 2026, the school has grown significantly, increasing its enrolment from 65 students to 438.
A great deal has been achieved since we opened. After 4 stages of building we now have modern, up to date buildings for all of our 21 classes, and our 5 Specialist subjects of Visual Arts, Performing Arts, STEM, Italian and Physical Education.
Along the way we have been able to create some award winning play spaces, married new buildings with heritage buildings and rejuvenate what was a tired government school into a vibrant, exciting catholic school.
At the core of our belief is that the wellbeing of the child is of the utmost importance if learning is to take place and children can develop and flourish to their fullest potential. We invest heavily in resources, teacher development and personnel to make this core value a reality in our school. We truly aim to be like Mary MacKillop and care for the children in our care.
We have a dedicated staff of teachers, learning support officers and administrative staff who work hard at delivering not only an excellent curriculum offering but a way of being. As a school community we aim to live out our values of RESPECT, COMPASSION, COURAGE and INCLUSION in all that we do.
We embrace the community we are part of and welcome all of our families to journey with us as we build our community with a sense of belonging and community.
We hope that all who join us will enjoy their time in our school community and take away fond memories of their time here. Our aim is to help shape the adults, leaders and good global citizens for a bright future.
